Renting a car in Aruba — your questions answered

Everything visitors usually ask us before they book.

Do I need a car in Aruba?

If you plan to stay on the hotel strip and eat nearby, taxis will do. If you want Arikok National Park, Baby Beach, the north coast or the lighthouse, a car pays for itself very quickly — the island is small but taxis add up fast.

Which licence do I need?

A valid driver's licence from your home country is accepted. You must have held it for the minimum period shown on the vehicle you choose, and it must still be valid for the whole rental period.

How old do I have to be?

The minimum age depends on the vehicle and is shown on every car page. Our smaller cars start at 21; larger SUVs require a slightly older, more experienced driver.

Which side of the road do you drive on?

The right, as in the United States and most of Europe. Roads are paved and easy in the main areas; some beach access roads are unpaved, which is where a higher SUV helps.

Is there a mileage limit?

No. All our rentals include unlimited mileage — you can circle the island as many times as you like.

Can you deliver to my hotel or the airport?

Yes, and it is free. Choose your pickup point when you book. For airport pickups, add your flight number so we can track delays and be there when you actually land.

How do I pay?

Cash or card when you collect the car. Nothing is charged when you book. A refundable security deposit applies and is shown before you confirm.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancellation is free and nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund. Just let us know so we can release the car to someone else.

What happens if I break down?

Call us. We are a local company with a local fleet — we will get you moving again or swap the vehicle.

Can I add a second driver?

Yes, add an additional driver during booking. They must meet the same age and licence requirements and be present with their licence at pickup.
